ALBUM REVIEW

"Ultimately, McNeal’s thoughtful writing, unique melodies, and talented vocal work, wielded well by Bock and Roberson’s production approach, create a debut LP that punches well above it’s weight. An excellent start to what will likely be an exciting discography." Brendon Donoho - BrendonBeats

OFFICIAL BIO

Folk-Pop multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter Shannon McNeal combined her love of poetry and music early in life and has developed a knack for wrapping relevant life experiences into catchy lyrics. Her quirky lyrics and unique melodies place her at the stylistic crossroads of Ed Sheeran and Ingrid Michaelson. In March of 2017, she released her first independent studio EP, Places, and has kept busy since then releasing three new singles. Her newest album was released in July of 2018. With a home-base of Nashville, she wastes no time - always coming up with fresh ideas and new music, all while self-promoting, self-managing, recording, and playing a multitude of venues and festivals around the southern United States, forcing her way into the indie music scene with a "can-do" attitude.

"Shannon McNeal lived in Alabama, then Tennessee, then Alabama again, then Georgia, then Alabama again . . . again.  Then she started fourth grade.  In a highly mobile childhood, she had at least two constants: family and music. ..."
